Macomb Pottery Stoneware ½ Gallon Mason Jar

At our local monthly Trade Days, we found this heavy ½ gallon stoneware mason jar--it was at one of the last booths we visited that Hunny Bunny picked it up and handed it to me. The owner spoke right up and confessed she didn't have a clue what it was and that she'd take $10. It was a good thing I had just purchased a zinc lid at another booth. I took it out and screwed it onto the threaded top--it fit just perfect!!! The bottom is stamped:
"MACOMB POTTERY CO. PAT. JAN 24, 1899 MACOMB, ILL."
